Supporting Materials
- Résumé: A current professional résumé is required.
- Work Experience: Although no specific courses are required for admission consideration, applicants to the Executive MBA program are expected to have approximately 10 years of professional experience, with five to seven years of managerial experience.
- Letters of Recommendation: One letter of recommendation is required. Professional references from an immediate supervisor, current or past, are preferred. Academic references are acceptable. Within the application, enter your reference’s contact information. References are then invited to upload their letters of recommendation. We encourage you to submit your application while waiting for recommendations to be completed.
- Statement of Goals: Two statements are required. An optional statement can also be submitted.
- Leadership: Please describe an incident from your personal experiences that typifies your definition of leadership. Specifically address collaboration, diversity, ethics and motivation.
- Goals: Describe how you would expect to change over the course of the program. What personal and professional values and skills do you hope to acquire beyond academic content? How will obtaining the degree help you achieve your career goals?
- Interview: Candidates may be interviewed after submission of their application. Interviews may occur in person or through video conference. If an interview is scheduled, on-site interviews are strongly recommended so that applicants can visit Temple University and the Fox School to tour the facilities and meet the Executive MBA faculty.
- Transcripts: Temple University requires transcripts from each academic institution from which you earned credit for coursework. Copies of transcripts may be used during the admissions process; however, Temple University requires officials of any admitted student. Additional documentation may be required for non-US academic institutions, such as marksheet and diploma. For such institutions, please review these guidelines from Temple University’s Graduate School.
- Standardized Test Scores: The GMAT and/or GRE are required, but may be waived for applicants who hold a JD, MD or other doctoral degree. For the Executive MBA program, GMAT scores may also be waived based on prior academics and/or technical and professional experience. For all other students, official scores must be reported from a GMAT test taken within the last five years.
